1. Welcome to Walk with Me
Thank you for choosing to use Walk with Me (hereinafter "the App" or "Service"). These Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and the App operator regarding your use of the Service.
Please read these Terms carefully. Using this Service indicates that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Service Description
Walk with Me is a guardian safety mobile application that primarily provides the following features:
- Guardian Sessions: Create trip guardians, set starting point, destination, transportation mode, and estimated arrival time
- Location Tracking: Continuously record and report location information during guardian sessions
- Emergency Alerts: Notify your emergency contacts in case of timeout or manual triggering
- Trip Sharing: Generate links to share your real-time trips with others
3. Usage Requirements
3.1 Eligibility Requirements
- At least 18 years old, or at least 13 years old with parental/guardian consent
- Have full civil capacity
- Have a valid phone number
3.2 Account Registration
Using this Service requires account registration. During registration, you need to provide:
- Valid Google or Apple account
- Nickname (optional, defaults to "User")
We use OAuth 2.0 protocol for third-party login authentication and do not store your social account password.
3.3 Device Requirements
- iOS 14.0 or higher
- Stable network connection (mobile data or WiFi)
- Location services permission
4. Your Obligations
4.1 General Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide true and accurate information
- Properly safeguard your account information
- Not transfer or lend your account to others
- Comply with these Terms and applicable laws
4.2 Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Use this Service for illegal activities
- False alarms or abuse of emergency functions
- Harass or threaten others
- Attempt unauthorized access to this Service or related systems
- Reverse engineer or decompile this Service
- Publish content containing malware or viruses
4.3 Emergency Function Usage Statement
The emergency alert function is a safety service and should only be used in genuine emergencies.
Abuse of emergency functions may result in:
- Related expenses borne by you
- Account suspension or termination
- Legal liability
5. Service Changes and Interruptions
5.1 Service Changes
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or terminate all or part of this Service
- Modify Service features without prior notice
- Adjust pricing (if applicable)
5.2 Service Interruptions
Under the following circumstances, this Service may be interrupted:
- Planned maintenance (we will notify in advance)
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, typhoons, floods, etc.)
- Wars, armed conflicts, terrorist attacks
- Government actions, changes in laws and regulations
- Cyber attacks, hacking, computer viruses
- Interruption of third-party services (such as cloud services, map services)
- Power outages, communication network failures
- Other objective circumstances that we cannot foresee, avoid, or overcome
5.3 Termination
You may delete your account at any time through in-app features or by contacting us to terminate this Service.
We may terminate or suspend your account under the following circumstances:
- Violation of these Terms
- Abuse of emergency functions
- Engaging in illegal activities
- Extended non-use (we will notify in advance)
6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THIS SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THIS SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this Service
- Data loss, business interruption, or loss of profits
- Third-party actions or omissions
- Service interruption due to force majeure events
- Availability or effectiveness of the Service in emergency situations
Walk with Me is an auxiliary safety tool and cannot replace professional rescue services. In emergency situations, you should:
- First call local emergency numbers (such as 911, 112, 999)
- Take other available safety measures
We do not guarantee:
- Emergency contacts will receive notifications
- Real-time and accuracy of location information
- Service availability during emergencies
6.1 Emergency Service Limitations
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE that Walk with Me is designed as a supplementary safety tool only. You are solely responsible for your personal safety and should not rely exclusively on this Service in emergency situations.
7. Third-Party Services
This Service may use third-party services, including but not limited to:
- Map and location services
- Cloud storage services
We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party services. Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Rights
All intellectual property rights related to this App belong to us. Without written permission, no part of this App may be copied, modified, or distributed.
8.2 Your Rights
You retain ownership of the content you provide (such as nicknames and emergency contact information).
8.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide, we are free to use without any obligation.
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1 Friendly Negotiation
In case of disputes, we first recommend resolution through friendly negotiation.
9.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by:
- Mainland China users: Laws of the People's Republic of China
- EU users: EU laws
9.3 Dispute Resolution
If negotiation fails, disputes will be submitted to:
- Mainland China users: People's courts with jurisdiction
- EU users: Courts in your EU member state
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Significant changes will be notified through:
- Prominent display within the App
- Notifications to your registered phone number
- New version releases
Continuing to use this Service indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding this Service, superseding all prior oral or written agreements.
